Adult Bible Study

Bible study is offered to help parishioners deepen their walk with Jesus, enrich their daily lives, increase spirituality and help reemphasize their Catholic roots which are grounded in Scripture.
No previous bible study experience is required.  We meet every Tuesday evening at 7pm.

Catechist

Our Faith Formation programs work to develop, promote and support the catechetical needs of our children and youth with the support of our Catechists (teachers).

Teacher Assistant - adults assisting our Catechists in teaching our students
Hall Monitor - adults monitoring our hallways during Faith Formation classes
Teen Assistant - teens assisting in the office or assisting our hall monitors

Fall Festival Committee

This is the main fund raiser of our parish.  We have games for children and adults of all ages.  Our parishioners buy empty food baskets and fill them with "theme" food, such as "Movie Night" treats or "Cowboy Game" treats.  During our festival the baskets are auctioned off to the highest bidder.  There is a Silent Auction full of useful items.  Raffle Tickets are sold prior to our festival. Drawings are held during our festival with winners announced and contacted to pickup their winnings.  There are food booths to satisfy everyone's tastes.

Volunteering at the festival is a wonderful way to meet other parishioners and to support our parish!  For more information call our Church Office.

Finance Council

We provide advice and recommendations to the Pastor concerning the stewardship of the parish's financial resources, such as, conducting long-range financial planning to support the mission our Parish.

Our meetings are normally held on the second Sunday every other month in our Parish Hall (Building 3).

High School Youth Group

Our 9th - 12th grade High School youth meet twice a month to grow in faith and fellowship. We enjoy being active in our parish fund raisers, game nights, lesson nights and event nights.  Come join us!  E-mail stmartinyouth@yahoo.com if interested in receiving more information.

Maintenance Committee

Our maintenance committee takes care of any needed repairs on our church campus.  If you are handy with odd and end jobs, join the team and have fun caring for our parish.

Parish Advisory Council

Our PAC has a threefold mission:

To conduct and maintain an inventory of our parish needs and the resources available to
   meet those needs.

To identify individuals having gifts, skills or ministries that will benefit our parish.

To plan and coordinate the creation, implementation and maintenance of a realistic Pastoral
Plan that is life-giving to our parish.

Meetings are normally at 6:45pm on the second Saturday of the month in the parish hall and are open to all parishioners.  Elections are held in April.

RCIA (Right of Christian Initiation for Adults)

This is an adult study group on our Catholic faith.  Are you thinking about becoming a Catholic?  Do you just want to learn more about Catholicism?  Are you an adult that has not received your 1st Communion Sacrament and/or Confirmation Sacrament?  This is the place for you!  Call our
Church Office for more information.

Safe Environment Committee

In following the directive from the Diocese of Dallas, we want to provide a safe and secure environment for minors and vulnerable adults in our faith communities within St. Martin Parish.  Each ministry must adhere to its guidelines.  All volunteers who are involved with our youth or elderly go through a screening process to ensure the safety of our parishioners.

Call our Church Office or e-mail us at stmreleducation@aol.com if you are interested in volunteering with our youth or elderly.

Vacation Bible School

VBS is held during the summer.  It is a wonderful opportunity for children 1st - 5th grade to learn about our faith and have fun.  Volunteers of all ages are needed and welcomed.
